7/15/10 - Casey Roberts Wins another $3,500, this time racing in Ray Cook's Southern Nationals Series at Cherokee on a Thursday night

Casey Roberts led flag-to-flag tonight at the legendary Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney, South Carolina to capture his fourth career Southern Nationals Series triumph! After setting fast time during qualifying, Casey paced the stout field for all 35 circuits to claim the $3,500 payday. He reached victory lane by defeating series point leader Dennis Franklin, Jonathan Davenport, John Pursley, Jr., and Ross Bailes. World of Outlaws Late Model Series regular Clint Smith worked his way by ten competitors to earn a sixth place finish and Hard Charger honors.

6/25/10 - SAS EAST 12th Annual $7,000 to win Grassy Smith Memorial Race won by Jonathan Davenport #49
Jonathan Davenport put on a dominating display last Friday Night by setting fast time and leading all 50 laps of the $7,000 12th Annual Grassy Smith Memorial at Cherokee Speedway. Davenport held off challenges from Johnny Pursley and Jeff Smith on a dry and narrow racing groove. Jeff Smith would finish in 2nd five car lengths back in this race honoring his late grandfather. Chris Ferguson ,who won the last EAST race at Cherokee, started on the outside pole but broke before taking a green flag.Jonathan Davenport put on a dominating display last Friday Night by setting fast time and leading all 50 laps of the $7,000 12th Annual Grassy Smith Memorial at Cherokee Speedway.
